Brrr.. I don’t know about your location, but here in the States it is getting COLD. For me, that means right around the corner is the time to ski, snowboard, and get out and enjoy the winter wonderland! A definite must have when one comes inside from the chilly weather is a warming beverage, and what better than a frothy cup of raw vegan hot chocolate? Check out this video by Heather from The Raw Buzz, and you’ll be making this in no time. Why resist the chocolate?
Raw Vegan Hot Chocolate Recipe
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 pound dates
- 1 pinch of vanilla powder
- 2 tsp carob powder
- Meat of 1 young thai coconut (optional)
1) Combine ingredients in high speed blender.
2) Blend until mixture is frothy and warm, aim for the point when no more date pieces are floating around.
☆ Soaking the dates beforehand will give an even creamier texture to the drink
☆ If you’re looking for a colder beverage, chuck in a few ice cubes and you’re set for cold chocolate “milk”
