Thanksgiving is right around the corner for us in the US and we all know that dessert plays a hugs role this time of year. Sometimes eating at holiday gatherings can be very challenging for those of us an a raw vegan diet. So this recipe is perfect. You can share the goodness with everyone by bringing a raw vegan pie to your up coming events.
It’s totally raw, healthy and oh so delicious Raw Vegan Pecan Pie. Whats Thanksgiving with out pecan pie? The lovely lady’s from popsugar fitness show us how to create a raw pecan pie.
Raw Vegan Pecan Pie
3 cups of whole pitted dates
2 cups of walnuts
1 cup of coconut flakes
1 cup of raw pecans
1 cup of raisins
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1/3 cup coconut butter
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon hemp powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2/3 cup water
Pie crust- in your food processor mix together dates, walnuts, coconut flakes. Pore the crust mix into pie plate, press mixture into the plate to form a crust.
Pie filling- Add pecans, raisins, coconut butter, villain extract, sea salt, hemp powder, nutmeg into your food processor along with water mix well. Pore into pie crust add fresh pecans to the top of the pie. Before serving chill pie for 5 hours in the freezer.
You really can have the best of both worlds by eating yummy deserts like this pie and living a raw vegan life. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
