I have never been someone to emulate meticulous recipes. When I would get my hands on an exciting recipe, I would always manage to reduce the amount of ingredients or change the ingredients so that the final product would end up far from what the original recipe called for. The simplicity of raw foods, then, made sense to me from the beginning. I love the challenge of simplifying dishes to the most minimum amount of time and ingredients. I especially love using what is easily available to me, whether it’s already in my kitchen or because it’s found locally.
Today, PlantBasedAthlete presents to you one of the easiest raw breakfast recipes! It’s sweet, simple, and easy to digest! To me, this recipe demonstrates the creativity that surfaces when one has a small amount of ingredients. Low fat raw means fun simplicity!
INGREDIENTS & DIRECTIONS
For the cereal:
9 ripe bananas
chop into small pieces
put into a bowl
For the banana milk:
2 frozen bananas with a little bit of water
throw into vitamix
*you can add other fruits like blueberries to spice it up
*if you are not a “purist” as the Plant Based Athlete says,
you can add a sweetener like organic coconut.
As always, you have the freedom to add whatever your mind desires, but for those of you who have never tried a mono meal,
try this recipe as it is, just choose the ripest bananas you can find, and taste the natural SWEETness of this cereal!
grab a spoon and enjoy!
